Matías Bargalló graduated with honors from the Universidad Católica Argentina in 1997. On May 2000 he achieved a Master of Law (LLM) from the University of Columbia, New York, and in 2003 he completed a postgraduate course on Oil and Gas at the Universidad de Buenos Aires.
He worked as foreign consultant for Latham & Watkins, New York, from July 2000 until February 2002. He was member of the Directorate of Legal Affairs of YPF from 2002 to 2004, senior attorney at Fortunati & Lucero until November 2005 and partner of Bargalló, Pizarro Posse, Martínez, Beccar Varela & Asoc. until July 2012.
He has a vast experience in corporate affairs, mergers and acquisitions, business structuring and has given professional advice to local and foreign clients in several jurisdictions.
He is the author of “Argentina Antitrust Overview“, published in “An extract from the 2005 Antitrust Review of the Americas – a Global Competition Review special report”.
